Hello, Friends, Families, Students, and Guardians,

Montessori education is exciting, different, and rewarding! It provides students with opportunities to learn from their peers as the classroom is multi-age and multi-grade level. Therefore, after receiving my B.S. degree in Photographic Technology and a Minor in Vocational Education and Industry Training from the University of Central Florida, I wanted to work with children and learn more about Montessori Education. I attended the Montessori Institute of Milwaukee and graduated with both my Upper and Lower Elementary certifications in 2008.  I stayed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a few years and taught in a Lower Elementary classroom (1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders). I then moved across the state and taught in an Upper Elementary classroom (4th, 5th, and 6th graders) for four years in River Falls, Wisconsin while acquiring my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Loyola University. I then transitioned from a Montessori classroom into a traditional classroom in Wisconsin for the following five years. As I now live in Minnesota, I have been blessed with the opportunities to teach rural, suburban, and urban elementary-age children from all backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities. While teaching here at Crossroads Elementary Montessori, I had the wonderful opportunity to complete my Doctorates degree in education from Liberty University (Go Flames!). This will be my 5th year teaching here at Crossroads Elementary.

I believe my diverse teaching experiences and advanced education have molded me into the loving and compassionate Montessori teacher I am today :)

When I am not focused on education, you will find me hiking through the woods, gardening, cooking, fishing, golfing, and playing with my Goldendoodle, Harley. I enjoy outdoor activities, and I like to stay active! I also LOVE to read; especially non-fiction books. Going back through my yearbooks when I was in elementary school (1990’s) these were my interests…..
