Mr. Dana Haberman

Greetings students, families, friends, and neighbors!

I am super excited to continue foward into my second year as the school Science Specialist! Previously, I served as an E1 (1,2,3) teacher on the Montessori side of school. It was here at Crossroads that I had the opportunity to student teach 3rd grade, as well as lead several intersession classes and guest teaching moments. I have experience teaching 4th grade in a traditional educational setting, and I have worked with students in outdoor and recreational programs in coordination with the MN department of Natural Resources.

As a lifelong learner and forever curious mind, I hope to bring my previous experiences in digital media (BS, Mass Communications, Bemidji State University) to assist and engage learners with 21st century skills, responsible digitial ethics, and pathways to opportunity when traditional avenues of education are not possible. I work diligently to balance my craft in education (MAT k-6, Hamline University) with the Montessori philosophy and practice (AMI - Montessori Training Center of Minnesota).

Importantly, as a resident of our community, I proudly look to serve my neighbors. The North End/Greater Eastside is full of incredible opportunities to which we can all collaborate and contribute towards. With our school and home/community partnerships, I have no doubt that we can build strong, confident leaders of tomorrow.

My interests include science, technology, visual arts, architecture, history, creative expression, and most of all, the great outdoors.

This year we will continue to work hard, respect each other, welcome all, take risks, love one another, stay positive, remain open minded, laugh much, and build confidence both academically and socially.
