My family and I live in the countryside near Big Marine Lake, about 30 miles northeast of Saint Paul.  My wife, Carrie, and I met while she was volunteering at my school many years ago. We have two children; our daughter's name is Francie, and our son's name is Tallen.  We have two labs named Hank and Ludie, and a Hamster named Frankie. Some of my hobbies include hiking, hunting, fishing (ice), camping, motorcycling, Mt. Biking, snowshoeing, and being outdoors with my family and dogs. I am a huge Vikings fan! I have degrees from Vermilion Community College and Bemidji State University for both undergraduate and graduate. My career began in 1999 at Roosevelt Elementary School in St. Paul. I have taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, and I have been both a Science Specialist and Social Studies Specialist. I have been with Crossroads since the fall of 2009. The year-round schedule and the diversity of the students, staff, and a great principal are why I teach at Crossroads.
