Third Grade

  • In third grade, most students are honing their social skills and enjoy socializing with friends at school. Most children at this age can communicate their thinking clearly and are ready for more responsibility in their learning. Third graders continue to develop their literacy skills and work on reading and writing pieces from different genres. In math, third graders expand their knowledge of place value and the base 10 system, solidify their skills in addition and subtraction with regrouping and build fluency in multiplication and division while working on critical thinking and mathematical problem solving.
