I began my teaching career in 1996. In my nearly 30 years in education, I have been fortunate to work in various roles. I have taught in grades K-2 & worked as an Elementary Literacy Specialist. I still love being a classroom teacher. I hope to be able to finish my career in 1st grade. Watching kids learn and grow thru all parts of their day and school year is very rewarding.   

I strive to build a strong relationship with both the students and their families. I want kids to see school as both challenging in good ways and FUN!  One of my favorite things to say to a child is..."You should be really proud of that work." 

When I am not working, I often relax on my screened porch with my two rambunctious corgis. I love to cook, take walks and work on home projects in my spare time.
