Principal's Corner

My Family

Welcome to Randolph Heights!  I am excited to be the principal of this great neighborhood school and can't wait to work with the dedicated staff and great families that make this a strong community.

A little about me.  I have been in the St. Paul District since 1997 as a teacher and administrator.  I taught secondary ELA at Hazel Park and Arlington High School, and I also coached football and softball at Arlington.  After my teaching career, I became an Assistant Principal at Humboldt Jr. High, then went on to become the Principal there as well.  After the junior high closed, I became the principal at Roosevelt Elementary, then Murray Jr. High.  Once the middle school model was adopted by the district, I served as one of three administrators at Capitol Hill for five years and helped the middle school model grow and prosper.

In my free time I spend as much time with my family as possible.  My wife Lisa and I have three children, two in college and one in high school. We enjoy spending time at the cabin all year long, and we like to travel as much as we can.  In the fall, most of my weekends are spent in the outdoors hunting with my kids.  I am a self-proclaimed foodie and love cooking and trying out new recipes.  I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth and my Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from St. Mary's University.

I encourage you to explore our website to learn about many of the great things happening at Randolph Heights.  We are a devoted staff that loves working with your children.  Our goal is to educate the whole child and to enable students to reach their potential academically, socially and emotionally.  It is an honor to be a part of this incredible staff and community and I look forward to a great year!
