Welcome to third grade. We are Beth Tierney, Phanida Thephrasouvanh, and Emily Hartnett - your third grade teachers. 

Third grade is a year full of fun and learning.  At Randolph Heights, your third grader will travel to the Minnesota Zoo and Belwin Nature Center, as well as the Como Planetarium.  S/he will learn the fundamentals of cursive writing and multiplication and division.  In history, students will dive into Ancient Rome, the Vikings, Native Americans, and the Age of Exploration.  By the end of third grade, your child will be able to draw a mental map of the world and identify the major rivers on the earth.  Students will publish a personal narrative, a memoir,  and a nonfiction piece.  They will also create a beautiful keepsake scrapbook throughout the year.
