Welcome to the ELD Program at Randolph Heights Elementary School!

ELD stands for English Language Development. Teachers and staff at Randolph Heights work together to help students whose home language is not English.

Our ELD program at Randolph Heights aims to:

• Provide our English Learners with language instruction at their current English proficiency level, supporting them as they continue to develop their language skills.
• Make sure our English learners can understand and use the academic languages they need to do school.
• Engage our English Learners in a variety of high interest and meaningful language activities that foster language learning in all domains (listening speaking, reading, writing.)
• Cultivate pride in all students' culture and language backgrounds.
