Ms. Sager

Hello Randolph Heights Families and Friends! I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of the RHS community for the 8 past years; first as a parent, then in classroom support, and now as a part-time teacher.

I am excited to take on the merging roles of Thinking Class (TDAS) and Makerspace to create new opportunities for student enrichment. We will be doing hands-on activities, STEM challenges, and innovative design scenarios to help stretch and challenge our way of thinking and doing. In addition to Maker/TDAS, I teach a group of motivated 5th grade students Middle School math in Math6. Students will be able to build upon advanced traditional math concepts as well as be introduced to more abstract math including algebra and probability.

My path to teaching has been a bit more roundabout, as I spent several years in a Microbiology lab before getting my Master’s in Ed. from the U of MN. After doing so I was able to switch to the much more fun but equally germy :) career of classroom teaching.

My husband and I live in St. Paul and have two children; one is still here at Randolph Heights! Outside of school you can find me coaching baseball and softball at Highland Ball, cheering at the St. Paul Capitals rinks, reading a good book, gardening, adventuring with kids, and playing with our young goldendoodle Rocky.
