Welcome!!

My name is Ashley Yates and I am very excited to be one of the 3rd grade teachers this year! This will be my 9th year teaching 3rd grade at AIMS. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Elementary Education and Special Education at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

A little bit about me:

I live with my husband Alex, our two sons, Luca and Lincoln, and our very energetic dog named Ruby.  During my free time I enjoy reading, being with friends and family, fishing, and cheering for the Twins and Vikings!

Thoughts for the new school year: 

      The first day of school represents a fresh start. It offers an opportunity for new experiences, new relationships, new knowledge, and new skills for all of us who walk through the doors. I am proud to be your child’s teacher and am committed to doing everything within my power to make this year successful for all of us. There is great excitement building as the new year begins.
