My name is Lisa Yankton and I am the Dakota Language and Culture Middle School teacher at AIMS. I have both a BA in Native American Studies and BS in Conservation and Natural Resources from U.C. Berkeley. My teaching licensure is in American Indian Language, History, and Culture. This year I will be teaching Dakota Language and Culture, and American Indian History. I'm excited to be a member of the community at AIMS.

I am an enrolled member of Spirit Lake in North Dakota. I enjoy spending time with family, learning about plants, dancing at pow wows, star gazing, and traveling.

I look forward to a successful year of learning and fun in the classroom.
