Hi,

Welcome Students and Families,

My name is Nicki Nolen. I am a Kindergarten Teacher. I have been teaching Kindergarten and First grades for many years. I started teaching at Adams in Spanish in 2013. I earned my undergrad degree from St. Kate’s in Spanish and Education, then completed my graduate degree from Concordia in Differentiated learning.

A few fun facts: I love to work in my garden growing flowers and veggies. My favorite color is green. I love all kinds of animals. I have a daughter who also speaks Spanish and attended Adams.

 In Kindergarten we will study many themes about the world around us. Our first theme is all about school! The students in my room will get to do learning together as a whole group, but then get to study and work (play) in our 6 centers that have different activities for each theme. Our classroom centers include a writing center, reading center, math center, science center, art center and a social studies (dramatic play)center.

Quiero dar el bienvenido a todos los estudiantes y familias,

Me llamo Nicki Nolen. Soy una maestra de Kínder. He enseñado Kínder y primer grado por muchos años.   Empecé en escuela Adams en el año 2013.   Gradué de la Universidad de St. Kate’s con la especialización del español y la educación, y recibí la maestría en la Universidad de Concordia.

Hechos divertidos: Me encanta trabajar en el jardín y cultivar flores y verduras. Mi color favorito es verde. Me encanta todos los animales. Tengo una hija que también habla español y estudiaba en Adams.

En kínder vamos a estudiar muchos temas sobre el mundo que nos rodea. Nuestro primer tema es todo sobre la escuela. Los estudiantes en mi salón van a aprender juntos, pero luego pueden estudiar y trabajar (jugar) en nuestros 6 centros que tienen actividades diferentes. Los centros de nuestra clase son: escritura, lectura, matemáticas, ciencias, arte, y estudios sociales (juego teatral).
