¡Hola! ¡Bienvenidos al salón 2304!

Soy la Sra. Oseguera. Este es mi octavo año dando clases en la escuela Adams.  Hace mucho tiempo, hice aquí mi practicum y siempre quería regresar.  He tenido el privilegio de dar clases a personas de 4 años de edad hasta los adultos.  Soy de Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, pero me fui por 19 años, viviendo en Wisconsin, Texas, Colombia y México. Me gusta mucho disfrutar estar en la naturaleza, estar entre familia y amigos, correr y también leer. Aparte, me gusta tejer y construir con madera o hacer proyectos de casa. 

En cuarto grado, los alumnos van a aprender mucho no solamente lo académico, pero también de ellos mismos y cómo forman parte de una comunidad.  Por medio de las rutinas, el respeto y la reflexión, tendremos un año lleno de aprendizaje que los guie a ser más independientes. 

Tendremos 6 unidades durante el año donde los niños explorarán conceptos de ciencias y estudios sociales mientras desarrollan sus habilidades de lectura, escritura y habla. Temas incluyen los mapas, ingeniería, las personas indígenas de Minnesota, la historia de St. Paul, las características de los Estados Unidos, México y Canadá, el agua y las rocas y cómo cambian sobre el tiempo.

Hello! Welcome to Room 2304!

My name is Señora Oseguera. This is my eighth year teaching at Adams. A long time ago, I did my student teaching here and always wanted to return.  I've had the privilege of teaching all ages, ranging from 4-year-olds to adults.  I am from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, but left for 19 years, living in Wisconsin, Texas, Colombia and Mexico. I really enjoy being in nature, being amongst family and friends, jogging and also reading. Apart from that, I like to knit and build things or do home projects. 

In 4th grade, students will learn not only academics, but also about themselves and how they form part of a community.  Through routines, respect and reflection, we will have a year full of learning that will lead students to be more independent. 

We will have 6 units during the year which will explore social studies and science concepts, all the while developing their skills in reading, writing and speaking. Big themes include maps, engineering, the indigenous cultures of Minnesota, the history of St. Paul, the characteristics of the United States, Mexico and Canada, as well as water and rocks and how they change over time.
