¡Bienvenidos a la clase de ciencias con Sra. Nordby!  ¡Estoy emocionada para estar aquí con todos ustedes este año en Adams como maestra de ciencias!  Será un año divertido, lleno de nuevas aventuras y mucho aprendizaje sobre las ciencias. 

Yo soy de Minnesota, donde estudié en Bethel University en St. Paul.  Después de la universidad, vivía en Guadalajara, México donde enseñé cuarto grado por dos años en una escuela bilingüe.  Terminé mi maestría de la educación urbana en Hamline University en 2010 y luego hice una segunda maestría en ESL por el Grand Canyon University en 2019.  He sido maestra de 4to y/o 5to grado en Adams por 15 años y estoy regresando para mi 16 años en SPPS como maestra de ciencias aquí en Adams.  Soy mamá de dos niños lindos y he aprendido mucho sobre jugar en el lodo con los gusanos desde que nacieron y me emociona llevar este tipo de aprendizaje sobre las ciencias a la clase este año.

Welcome to Sra. Nordby's cience class!  I am very excited to be here with you at Adams this year as the science teacher!  I look forward to a great year, full of new adventures and tons of science learning!

I am from Minnesota, where I studied at Bethel University in St. Paul.  After graduating, I moved to Guadalajara, Mexico where I lived and worked for two years in a bilingual school.  I finished my first Master's Degree in Urban Education at Hamline University in 2010 and went on to complete my second Master's Degree to earn my ESL degree from Grand Canyon University in 2019.  After spending 15 years teaching either 4th or 5th grade here at Adams, I am returning for my 16th year here in SPPS as the Adams Science Teacher!  I am a mom of two little boys and have learned a lot about playing with dirt and worms since they were born and I am excited to bring this daily-life science learning into the classroom this year.
