¡Hola! Me llamo Molly Brott y soy una de las maestras de inglés en la escuela Adams.  Me encanta aprender del lenguaje y cultura de mis alumnos. 

Tengo 19 años como maestra, de los cuales 12 han sido en St. Paul.  He enseñado clases primarias en inglés y español antes de cambiar a una maestra de inglés como segundo idioma. Me gradué de la universidad de Lake Forest en Illinois donde estudié educación y español.  Estudié en España donde aprendí español.  Mientras enseñaba en los suburbios norteños de Chicago, completé mi certificación para ser maestra de inglés.  

Estoy casada y tengo dos hijos.  Colin tiene 7 años y acaba de empezar segundo grado, y Nora tiene 5 años y le encanta jugar!  Tener hijos pequeños me ayuda conectar con los alumnos de Adams.  Me encanta estar afuera caminando y acampando.  Leer libros distintos me ofrece tiempo quieto cada día.  Vivimos cerca de mi familia extendida no da muchas diversiones con la familia.  

Me siento muy afortunada ser parte de la comunidad de Adams. ¡Es una escuela muy especial y tiene alumnos magníficos! 

Hello! My name is Molly Brott and I am one of the English teachers at Adams. I love learning about my students’ different languages and cultures!

I have been a teacher for 19 years, 12 of which have been in St. Paul. I have taught at the elementary level in both English and Spanish and became an English teacher 5 years ago. I graduated from Lake Forest College in Illinois majoring in education and Spanish. During my time in college I studied in Spain where I became fluent in Spanish. While teaching in the northern suburbs of Chicago, I completed my masters in curriculum and instruction and English as a Second Language. Upon returning to the Twin Cities, I began my tenure in St. Paul Public Schools and continued my education studying more about English Language development and educational equity.

I am married and have two children. Colin is 7 years old and just started second grade, and Nora is five years old and loves to be silly! Being a mother of young kids has really helped me connect with the students at Adams. I love to be outdoors walking, hiking and camping. Reading all kinds of books offers me some quiet, peaceful time in the day. Living near my large extended family creates a lot of fun adventures for my family.

I feel so fortunate to be a part of our school. It truly is a unique place with so many supports and even more wonderful students!
