¡Bienvenidos a nuestra clase! Yo soy Sr. Omar. En nuestra clase, nos enfoscamos muchos en ser una comunidad. ¡Somos amable, somos respetuoso, y más que nada: hablamos español! Mi filosofía, cuál pertenece al aprendizaje de español, es muy sencillo: ¡tratar, tratar, y tratar! Es tan importante que los niños entienden que perder y fallar es importante. ¡La cosa más importante es que siguen tratando! 

Usamos muchas estrategias para practicar el autocontrol en nuestra clase. Según las metas de primer grado, es importante que los niños aprendan como ser independientes. Si es algo que podemos arreglar en la clase, es mejor que lo hacemos juntos.

Soy venezolano y crecí en Miami, FL hablando español con mi familia. Antes de venir a Minnesota, viví en Japón por 3 años enseñando inglés. Me gradué del Universidad de St. Thomas con mi maestría de enseñanza en 2022. También tengo dos bachilleratos en inglés y japonés de la Universidad Internacional de Florida.

Welcome to our classroom! I'm Sr. Omar. In our classroom, we focus a lot on being a community. We are kind, respectful, and more than anything: we speak Spanish! My philosophy as it pertains to teaching Spanish is simple: try, try, and try! It is imperative that students learn early on that failing and making mistakes are super important. They have to keep trying!

We use several strategies to maintain self-control in our class. One of the goals in 1st grade is learning how to be independent learners. If it's something that we can resolve in our classroom, we try to handle it then and there.

My parents are Venezuelan and I grew up in MIami, FL speaking only Spanish with my family. Before moving to Minnesota, I lived in Japan for 3 years teaching English. I graduated with my masters in education from St. Thomas in Spring 2022. Prior to that, I received 2 bachelors' degrees in English and Japanese languages from Florida International University.
