    Our names are Krista Henke and Teresa Pfab, though kids call us Ms. Krista and Srta. Pfab. Krista is thrilled to join Adams Spanish Immersion this year to support students, families, and staff as a school counselor. Teresa is excited to continue working with our wonderful school community in her 2nd year here.  Krista will work with all kids and families in kindergarten and first grade while Teresa will primarily work with upper elementary students in grades 2-5.

     

    Our school counseling program supports the academic, social, emotional, and postsecondary (college & career) needs of all Adams students! We will visit your student in their classroom every other week to teach lessons on social emotional learning, bully prevention, career development, and personal safety! Throughout the year we will run counseling groups and meet with students one-on-one! Topics might include: friendship skills, mindfulness, family change, and much more. School counselors also partner with families and staff to advocate for mental health and equity, in order to promote school success for all students.  Did you know that Adams’ program is nationally recognized by the American School Counseling Association for its commitment to delivering comprehensive, data-informed school counseling programs?!
