Hello and welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. My name is Kelly McElhinny (she/her), and this year I will be teaching Algebra, Foundations and Science of Comp and Coding 1. I spend a lot of time working with a growth mindset in my classroom and the belief that mistakes are great.

My hobbies include reading, photography, exercise and hanging out with family and friends.

I am also a proud parent to my son, who is a freshman at UMD, and my daughter, who is in 8^th grade.

The best things about math: Math is all around us and helps us understand the world we live in better. Math is also used in practically every career in some way.
