Hi! I'm Emily Madland (Ms. Emily or Ms. Madland) and I am a full-time social worker at Global Arts Plus, Upper Campus. I hold a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license through the Minnesota Board of Social Work. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and my Master of Social Work degree from St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas.

My work is primarily with students who receive related mental health/social work services listed on their Individual Education Plans. I also serve as one of the Project REACH contacts for families experiencing housing insecurity, and I provide mental health and crisis support in our community. 

In addition to school social work, I love spending time with my two daughters (+ two cats and a dog), biking, gardening, live music, reading, being outside, and being a part of the Minneapolis artist community as a jewelry maker. My family is working on filling up our Minnesota State Parks Passport!

As an artist myself, I recognize the vital role the arts play in our lifelong development, self-expression, and sense of community. I believe every individual is an artist and that each student at Global Arts Plus is an integral part of our community.
