Assistant Principal Lower Campus (Grades PreK-4) - Danielle Beck

    Greetings Global Arts Community,

I am THRILLED to be returning to Global Arts Plus for the 23-24 school year as the assistant principal of the Lower Campus! This will be my third year with this wonderful community and 19 years as a licensed educator. My teaching experience spans grades 1-8, at schools in Las Vegas, Minneapolis, and Roseville. Now, I am proud to call SPPS and Global Arts Plus home! I have a strong background in math and have previously served the roles of math lead and middle school math department chair. I am currently a part-time professor of Elementary Math Methods for prospective teachers at the University of Minnesota.

My husband and I made the move to St. Paul from Las Vegas nearly 9 years ago and we love the area - with the exception of January-March. On the weekends, I enjoy trying new restaurants and cheering for the Green Bay Packers – sorry Vikings fans. As a lifelong learner, the world is my classroom. When school is not in session, I enjoy traveling to different countries and immersing myself in a culture different from my own. My mission is to develop a deep love of learning both in and outside of the classroom for all students at Global Arts Plus.

I look forward to working with you and supporting our Global Arts Plus community in all ways possible. Please reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns. My door is open.

Assistant Principal Lynn Bourgoyne at Upper Campus (Grades 5-8)

I am very excited to be returning to Global Arts Plus for the 2023-2024 school year as the assistant principal of the Upper Campus! I have worked in Saint Paul Public Schools in several capacities over the last 25 years.  I started in SPPS as a Business/CTE high school teacher and after teaching for 13 years, I began coaching for school improvement as a specialist for secondary schools, PK-8 buildings, and Montessori elementary schools. In addition to my K-12 Principal licensure, I hold licensure in reading, business/marketing/CTE, and K-8 computers/keyboarding.  I completed my Bachelor's Degree at Mankato State University and my Master's in Literacy Education at St. Mary's University of Minnesota, Winona.

I live in the North End of St. Paul with my significant other, Jason.  We have been together for 11 years! Jason was a chef, so obviously we are into local food opportunities, food trucks, farmers markets, and supporting neighborhood small businesses.  When we have the time we like to travel, especially short trips to Minnesota small towns to enjoy local culture, fish, and visit family.

I look forward to working with students, families, and staff to become part of the community and culture at Global Arts Plus.
