Licensed School Counselor: Samina Ali (CCRC)

Hello from the CCRC!
  • I am looking forward to my 19th year as a school counselor with St. Paul Public Schools and have been a school counselor for 22 years total. I support and provide resources to students, staff, and families at Johnson Senior in the College and Career Resource Center (CCRC).

I earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and did my undergraduate work at the University of Iowa for my teaching license. Besides being a counselor, I have taught high school social studies and ELL. I enjoy gardening, volunteering, camping, exploring diversity and multiculturalism, and traveling with my husband, daughter and son.

Feel free to contact me about any of the following counseling areas: personal/social, academic and college/career. I can help with the college application process, higher education/training opportunities, Genesys Works, scholarships, financial aid/FAFSA/MN Dream Act, college and post secondary applications, college access programs, college fairs and resources, college & scholarship essays, grades 9-12 PLP counseling curriculum and more.
