I started working at JHS in fall of 2017, and I love it here. Go Govies! I know each and every student brings unique gifts to the world, and that you can all accomplish amazing things with hard work and a strong community.
If you are in 12th grade, I might be one of your teachers in US Government. If you are in 10th grade, I might be one of your teachers in Biology. I also teach a 10th grade English Language Development class. For information about what is happening in class, look at the class Schoology page.

Welcome, parents!
I am an ESL teacher at Johnson High School, and I currently teach in the science and social studies departments. I might be collaborating with a teacher in your child's Biology or U.S. Government class. My job is to make sure students of all language backgrounds can be successful in the class. Some students in these classes speak English fluently, including native speakers. Other students in the class are still working on English. Having an ESL co-teacher will give all the students more support. The materials we cover and the difficulty of the course are the same as classes without an ESL co-teacher.

When a real life murder is connected to the game, it becomes a huge controversy. This book has suspense, complex relationships, and a really cool video game. It also asks interesting questions about racism, safe spaces, and different points of view within one community. It is an awesome book!
