I am excited to join Johnson High School this year, teaching Project Lead The Way Engineering Essentials to all 9th graders. This is my 5th year teaching in SPPS and 13th year teaching in grades 6-12. Prior to entering the teaching field, I earned both my bachelor’s and master's degrees in Geological Sciences and worked as a geologist in Duluth, MN. Scientific research and teaching has allowed me to travel around the world for work including collecting rock samples in Antarctica and sustainability education in Japan. I look forward to engaging students in the engineering process and exploration of STEM careers.
