Hello, my name is Jessie Tran and I welcome you to my page!

I teach Ceramics, Digital Art, and Jewelry Making at Johnson High School. I started in this role in the fall of 2018, although the year before that I had the joy of substituting long-term as the Drawing and Painting teacher for most of a semester. 

My path to education started as a pre-medical student at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I started tutoring for the Office of Higher Education and fell in love with working with students. At the same time, I started taking art classes and knew that my life would soon take a drastic turn from medicine to teaching art. In 2015 I graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Art, and in 2017 I graduated with a Master of Education in Arts Education. 

I am incredibly grateful that Johnson High School is where I started my teaching career, and look forward to many more years here!
