Welcome to Johnson High School, and my website!

I've taught at Johnson since 2007, so I know for a fact that JHS is special. I live in St. Paul and I have two toddlers who are so fun and funny. They keep me busy! If I don't respond right away, I haven't ignored you. If I haven't graded something, I'm probably going to grade it soon, but feel free to email me about it. I love reading and I love talking with other people about their books. I believe that writing well can get you what you want. My job is to make you a better reader and writer, and speaker, period. Let's do it!

    At Johsnon, we say that what hurts my brother or my sister hurts me. That has never been more true than when we are working though a global pandemic that has hurt so many people, and ended people's lives too soon. Thank you so much for giving up experiences in high school, both large and small, to protect yourself, the students at JHS, and our community. You have made a difference. If you can, I recommend that you get vaccinated as soon as possible to continue to protect yourself and your community, especially younger members who cannot be vaccinated. If you feel sick, email your teachers and stay home. We are happy to accomidate you, and all our work will be on Schoology.
