• Law & Justice

    Welcome to Law and Justice! This elective course provides students with an opportunity to increase their practical understanding of how the justice system in the United States actually works. In their study, students will focus on legal principles and the laws and procedures derived from them. They examine relevant examples of civil and criminal laws, police/law-enforcement methods, court procedures, juvenile justice, and efforts toward corrective justice. Students also examine problems within the legal and justice systems and issues that arise from their operation.  Students will be able to make increasingly informed judgments on issues and problems arising from the operation of the legal and justice systems. This course is open to students with junior or senior standing.
