Ulla Tervo-Desnick has worked for the Saint Paul Public Schools for twenty years, all of them at EXPO Elementary. Prior to that she worked as a prechool teacher for eight years. Miss Ulla has degrees in Education from The University of Helsinki, Saint Catherine's University, and Saint Mary's University. She has taught students from preschool to third grade.

When not teaching, the educator likes to spend time with her family biking around the Twin Cities. She also likes to sing, do yoga, read, and work in her garden.

Miss Ulla lives in St. Paul with her husband and dog, Uno, and loves to visit her two adult daughters. When possible, she visits her family in her native country, Finland.

The classroom teacher loves to work at EXPO for its creative energy, outstanding staff, and focus on the whole child. There is something interesting going on in every classroom!
