Hello and Welcome!

I am very excited about returning to Hamline Elementary! Hamline was my first job in the district in 2008 and it feels like I am returning home. Most of the staff have changed over the years, but a few faces help bring back memories. In the intervening years, I taught at Cherokee Heights in West St. Paul and Galtier Elementary, which merged with Hamline in 2022.  I have taught kindergarten through grade 4 and always look forward to getting to know my students and their families each year. This year I am delighted to be one of two WINN teachers at Hamline. I will be teaching literacy skills in kindergarten through 3rd grade. I look forward to working with students in small instructional groups that focus on reading and writing.

On a personal note, I have three smart and beautiful daughters and two grandbabies! I like to bike, run, read and am learning to sew! This summer I went on two short trips up north to Bay Lake and Grand Marias. And in August, I visited my sister who lives in Montana. I am looking forward to a terrific year!
