Hello!

My name is Sara Schmidt, and I have been teaching since 1996.  I started my teaching career at Pearblossom Elementary where I taught Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2.  I then moved to Seoul, Korea where I taught, Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 at Seoul Foreign School.  My next move was to The Netherlands where I taught Grade 1 and 3 at the American School of the Hague.  After that I taught in Ethiopia at the International School of Addis Ababa where I taught Grade 3, 4, and 5.  Next I moved back to Asia where I taught Grade 5 EAL at the American International School of Guangzhou in China.  In 2022, my family and I moved to St Paul, and I started working at Hamline.

I'm originally from Montana where I grew up on a farm.  This contributed to my love of gardening.  I also enjoy cooking, reading, and hanging out with my family.
