  • Community partnerships expand our capacity to meet the needs of students and families, provide opportunities to collaborate on events and initiatives, and build strong relationships that go beyond the school walls. We're grateful for the resources, expertise, and fellowship these organizations bring to our school community.*

Every Meal (formerly The Sheridan Story)

Every Meal is a weekend food program. Volunteers from Central Baptist Church and Resurrection City Church place food bags into students' backpacks on the last day of each school week.

    Reading Partners

"Reading Partners is a national nonprofit that mobilizes communities to provide students with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level by fourth grade."

    Hancock Recreation Center

Hancock Recreation Center is a division of St. Paul Parks and Recreation, and we share a building. Among other things, Hancock Rec offers "Rec Check," a free after-school program.

    Hamline Midway Elders

"A small neighborhood non-profit, Hamline Midway Elders (HME) was founded in 2001 as A Living at Home/Block Nurse Program by a group of volunteers and community leaders.  HME is now a member of The Living at Home Network, but its mission is still the same: to provide volunteer and professional assistance to enable elders to remain in their own homes with independence, dignity and choice."

In the past, our Elders have been paired with a third grader, and they would read together twice a month. This is a wonderful program that everyone enjoys, and we hope to be able to bring it back when it is safe for everyone.

    Hamline Midway Coalition

The Hamline Midway Coalition is our District Council, or neighborhood organization.

It is an action-oriented, neighborhood-based organization that develops and supports initiatives in community building, transportation, local foods, placemaking and public space improvement, economic vitality, sustainability, and neighborhood identity.

There are many opportunites for inolvement, including the transportation, environment, and development committees, and serving on the Board of Diretors. They are also working on numerous projects from Pollinator Pathways, the Midway Investment Cooperative, the Neighborhood Plan, Mini Grants, and Block clubs.

Early Childhood and Family Education (offices and programming onsite)

Early Childhood Family Education’s (ECFE) mission is to strengthen families through education and support of all parents through providing the best possible environment for the healthy growth and development of their children.  ECFE provides education in child development and parent/child relationships which sets the stage for children’s school success.

    Children's Dental Services

Children’s Dental Services (CDS) brings portable dental services into the school building

Children's Book Express is our book sharing program. Books are donated and shared, helping to build home libraries.
