• Welcome to Miss Amanda's Pre-Kindergarten Class

    Hello, Hamline Families! My name is Amanda Jagdeo and I love being a part of the Husky community. I use the pronouns she/her. The 2023-2024 school year will be my 15th year in education. I have Bachelor's Degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of Missouri - Columbia, as well as a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. I have had the privilege of teaching students across the country from Prince George's County, Maryland, where I taught Pre-K and 2nd grade, to Richmond, California, where I taught kindergarten. I have also had the opportunity to coach teachers across the country and have been a lead kindergarten teacher in Northeast Minneapolis. I am originally from Minnesota and I am thrilled to have the chance to expand my community connections so close to home. When I am not at school, I love to read, go for runs and eat delicious, gluten-free foods. You might even catch me walking my dog, Torii, around the Midway neighborhood!

  • Snack Donations

    We are a nut free, dairy free classroom of 20 students! We are looking for snack donations of healthy snacks like apple sauce, raisins, veggie straws, graham crackers, pretzles or fresh fruit! If you are willing and able, any donation would be wonderful. Thank you for your help!

  • 2023 - 2024 Supply List

    • 1 Backpack (big enough to fit a folder, iPad and a small blanket)
    • 1 Box of Washable Crayola Markers (either Classic, Colors of the World or Silly Scents are helpful)
    • 1 box of Crayola Twistable Colored Pencils
    • 1 box of Crayola Twistable Crayons
    • 2 Elmer's Disappearing Purple School Glue Sticks
    • 2 Bottles of Elmer's Washable Liquid School Glue
    • 1 box of Kleenex
    • 2 3 oz. containers of Playdoh (any color)
    • 1 package of Expo Bullet Tip Dry Erase Markers
    • 1 gallon sized bag labeled with student's name containing a change of clothes (socks, underwear, pants, shirt)
    • Small blanket or towel for rest time (the smaller, the better)
    • 1 roll of clear packing tape
    • 1 roll of blue painter's tape
    • 1 package of craft sticks (wider sticks, not popsicle sticks)
    • Nut-free, sugar-free snacks to share (goldfish, pretzels, squeezable apple sauce, etc.)
    • Optional and Appreciated: Wiggly Eyes, Cardstock, Tissue Paper, Paper Towels, Q-Tips
