Michele Thomas

  • My name is Michele Thomas. I am a native of St. Paul and graduated from Central High School. I have a degree in Communications from Bethel University here in the Twin Cities. I am married and have two daughters who also attend SPPS schools. I have been working in the district since 2008. I started out at Battle Creek Middle School as a T.A. in the PAS program. It was exciting and challenging working in the program but helped me grow and learn how to build relationships with students. After that program was dissolved, I was transferred to Harding.

I have worked at Harding since September of 2011. I started off working as a T.A. in the PSD program. I loved working in this program as well because I was helping kids to become better students and people in life. After working as a T.A. for about 6 years I was promoted to an E.A. I was in that role for another five years until I was promoted again to become the American Indian Studies Cultural Specialist. I am excited to be in this new role and learn about the students and the culture. I have Native American ancestry and have always wanted to learn more about them and being in this role gives me the perfect opportunity do that!
