I was born and raised in Superior, Wisconsin. I moved to the Twin Cities to attend college, earning undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. In 1989 I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota.

I have been working as a School Social Worker at Harding since 2000.  Prior to my employment with St Paul Public Schools I worked with adolescents in a variety of mental health settings, including schools, residential treatment, and community counseling agencies.   

I am married and I have two college aged boys.  In my free time I enjoy staying physically active, running, biking, and playing tennis.  I also enjoy spending time with my with my family, cooking, woodworking, and creating art projects.
