Harding High School students are required to complete four years of English courses. In the 9th and 10th grade course, students develop the fundamental reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills necessary for success in upper level literature courses. Upper level literature courses include IB DP Literature HL, IB DP Language and Literature SL, English 11, English 12, and CIS Writing Studio. Other upper level course options include Global Mythology, Debate, Creative Writing, and Film Studies. All Harding High School English courses aim to familiarize students with multiple genres of literature, and provide ample opportunity to write for a variety of purposes and audiences.
