Hello! My name is Cassie Heeringa and I teach 3^rd grade for the online school. The children refer to me as Mrs. Heeringa. 

I received a BA in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from Bethel University. I've been teaching in St. Paul Public Schools (SPPS) since 2015.  Before coming to SPPS, I taught 1^st grade for three years in Rifle, Colorado.  Then I moved to Utah where I taught 1^st grade for two years, 2^nd grade for one year, and kindergarten for one year.  My husband and I moved back to the Midwest when we were ready to begin starting our own family.

When starting in St. Paul Public Schools, I began teaching at Crossroads Montessori teaching Children’s House (PreK and K).   I decided to pursue Montessori certification at the University of Wisconsin River Falls where I received my Masters degree in Early Childhood Montessori Education.

For the 2021-2022 school year, I volunteered to teach at the Online Elementary School.
