Ms. Dah Bu was born in Burma and arrived in Idaho in 2004 with a move to Minnesota shortly afterwards. Prior to her arrival in 2019 as a first grade teacher at Wellstone Elementary School, she was an Education Assistant working as an interpreter at a local charter school and Como Senior High; Dah is multilingual in Karen, Burmese, and English. The educator received her Associate of Arts Degree from a local community college and then earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) from Metro State University.

The instructor keeps very busy when not at Wellstone. She is passionate about spending quality time with her family (especially her nephews), friends, and members of her church. The youngest of four children, Dah also loves to sing and play the guitar, travel throughout the United States, and eat spicy cuisine.

There is no place other than Saint Paul that this professional would like to be. Ms. Bu treasures the rich diversity of the community and everything that it has to offer.
