Jason Vásquez is a bilingual Spanish and English Education Assistant at Wellstone Elementary. His primary job responsibilities include providing academic support in classrooms for the Spanish-speaking students and translating and interpreting for the school’s Spanish-speaking stakeholders. Mr. Vásquez is a graduate of the Saint Paul Public Schools, attended a local community college, and has been employed with the school district since 1996 having initially worked at Arlington High School as a technical music instructor. He has been at Wellstone Elementary since 2016.

Jason is passionate about his family and music. He enjoys spending quality time with his immediate and extended family, hiking and traveling. Mr. Vásquez can often be found listening to a variety of music, playing his favorite instrument, the guitar, or reading two of his favorite genres: biographies and autobiographies.

Although this educator has always called Saint Paul home, he plans to stay right here to be close to his family and friends. He loves the city of Saint Paul and everything that it has to offer the residents.
