Students at Hidden River have the opportunity to take Art Beginnings. In this class, learners will have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of 2D and 3D media ranging from drawing, painting, ceramics, fibers, and sculpture. In addition to creating artwork, they will also discuss historical and contemporary art and artists. They will plan and prepare their ideas and supplies, and formulate writing about their own projects in the form of artist statements. 

Students will also be encouraged to share their work during class critiques, where they can highlight the materials they used, the steps they took, and the choices they made during the working process.
