Mr. John Gallagher
Greeting Hidden River Otters! My name is John Gallagher, and I teach 6th grade English at Hidden River. I love working at Hidden River and am so excited to welcome you into my classroom, where you can be your best self as we push our thinking to new heights!
The 2023-2024 school year is my sixth year teaching English/Language Arts at Hidden River Middle School, and my seventh year as a teacher. I have previously taught in Richfield, Minneapolis, and I also spent a little time as a student teacher at Hidden River in the French Immersion classes!
I also coach the Central High School Cross Country and Track teams, which is always so fun! I love coaching, especially when I get to coach both current and former Hidden River students on the team! I ran Track & Field and Cross Country at Grinnell College, where my special event was the hurdles--run a lap and jump ten times! I also love to play soccer, and am a huge soccer fan in general, but especially Minnesota United! Outside of sports, I love to spend time with friends, exploring the Twin Cities, eating ice cream, and visiting my family in Seattle, where I grew up.
