Prior to becoming a teacher, I spent a decade doing youth work at the YWCA of Minneapolis. I joined the Ramsey team in 2014, after teaching for 6 years in Minneapolis alternative high schools.
I believe in the power of story, the way it asks us to question, understand, seek truth, empathize, & feel. My goal is to connect students with books, essays, music, and art that encourage life long learning. I teach 8th grade ELA.
During my spare time I like to read and spend time at the family cabin on Lake Superior.
