Welcome to Hidden River's English Department!

The English Department offers English language arts workshop for grades 6, 7, and 8. Selected students may also be scheduled into an additional reading strategies class to improve their reading skills.  

Reading and writing continue to be high priorities in all of our classrooms.  We plan our standards-driven curriculum so that students work on skills needed for the MCA-III Reading test.  We also implement a rigorous IB-MYP curriculum aligned with the Common Core Standards and continue using education best practices in our classrooms.
