My name is Cheryl Holt and I am the Speech Language Pathologist at Horace Mann.  I see students who are identified as having speech and language deficits. I believe that speech and language skills are the key to success in school and in life. My goal is to help every child reach their potential so they can share themselves and their ideas with the world.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two adult children and my dog Ruby. I love anything outdoors and spend a lot of time hiking, biking, camping, skiing and canoeing. I am an avid reader and always have a pile of books waiting to be read!

As a Speech and Language Pathologist, I work with students to improve their communication skills in a variety of areas.  Speech/Language services are tailored to meet the individual needs of students. Students who are eligible receive speech therapy services to improve their skills in the areas of articulation, expressive and receptive language, social communication, stuttering and voice.  I work together with teachers and parents to identify students who need speech and language services and to help students use their best communication skills in all settings.
