Visual Arts Teacher

Hello!

One of my 1st graders asked me if I wasn't an art teacher would I be an artist? Well, I haven't worked a day in my life because I found something I love to do... so, no, being an artist sounds like a lot of pressure. The best part is meeting all the wonderful students, creating with them, and nurturing their creativity through their years at Horace Mann.

This is my 6th year at Horace Mann and my 17th year teaching art. Before moving to St. Paul I taught middle and high school in New York City and Chicago. I went to Smith College for undergrad, Goldsmiths College, Chelsea College of Art and Design for post-grad degrees and NYU for my MA in art education. I've lived abroad in London, Paris and Chile and speak French fluently. I have 2 daughters: Alice who is in 5th grade at and Rosie, who is a 1st grader. I enjoy gardening, meditation and hiking with my kids. I'm very excited to have a fantastic art studio for students to explore, collaborate and experiment.
