The Horace Mann School Instrumental Music program is available for 4th and 5th graders.  Students attend a combination of individual lessons, small group lessons, and ensemble lessons. The instructor builds the size of the groups as the year and student proficiency progresses. The 5th graders typically perform a short winter concert during lunch. The full band performs two spring concerts: one during the school day for the students and an evening concert for families. Instrumentation in the band includes: flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, French horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba and percussion.
