My first year of teaching was in 2003, and I still love it. As soon as I have students in the classroom, I start having a great day.

A true joy of my role at Horace Mann is that I work with students every year, and I see them grow from Kindergarteners to 5th graders. 

When I am not at school, I spend time bike riding, cross country skiing, and being with my family. I have a new mountain bike, and I am just learning how to ride on the trails and keep up with my young explorers. I love visiting Crosby Farm Park with my children and watching them explore along the Mississippi River.

You can even find me doing mini science adventures on the weekends from exploring the great oudoors to measuring and testing recipies for microwave mug brownies.

Students sometimes see the rare teacher in the wild when I am at Mini-Target or other kid activities with my children.
