    Family Friendly School Continuous Improvement Plan 2019-2020

    Saint Paul Public Schools engages in a process of continuous improvement. At the school level, a major tool in the improvement process is the School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP). The SCIP is a strategic document that the district schools utilize to identify annual improvement priorities. Highlighted below are the areas of focus for the 2019-2020 school year:

    Battle Creek Elementary School Goals: Reading Goals: 35% Proficient to 50% Proficient

    Math Goals: 42% Proficient to 50% Proficient Science Goals: 44% Proficient to 50% Proficient

    Science Goals: 26% to 40%

    Battle Creek Elementary School Plans:

    Reading: Battle Creek Elementary will focus on small group instruction, data analysis, and academic language to make sure that all kids make continued progress in Reading. Teachers will work with one another to find strategies best suited for each students needs.

    Math: Battle Creek will focus on small group instruction and academic language to make sure that all kids make continued progress in Math. Teachers will meet to discuss progress on math standards.

    Climate: Restorative Practices - Teachers will conduct classroom meetings every morning. Professional Development for 100% of staff in August.
