      SCIP At-A-Glance

At Battle Creek Elementary, it is our privilege to motivate and educate all students, every day. Our mission is to challenge, and empower all students with the knowledge and skills to reach their full potential. Our SCIP (School Comprehensive Improvement Plan) process allows our school to produce a planning document. We monitor our progress throughout the year and we make modifications in response to meet the needs of our students. In the spring/summer we review our schoolwide data and create a plan for the next school year. Battle Creek is addressing three main areas in our SCIP.

              School-Wide Goal

The percentage of students who believe they belong and are engaged in learning will increase from 69.7% to 85% by Spring of 2022 as measured by Battle Creek Elementary's student engagement survey administered in Spring of 2022.

                Reading Goal

The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in reading will increase from 35% to 40% by Spring 2022 as measured by the MCA III Reading Assessment administered in April 15, 2022.

                  Math Goal

The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in mathematics will increase from 44% to 50% by Spring 2022 as measured by the MCA III Math Assessment administered in April 15, 2022.

A complete version of our SCIP can be found at scip.spps.org

We are looking forward to a great school year as we work in partnership with families. We honor your commitment to your child’s success!
