Many students and parents ask me for some “French” things to do during the summer related to keep up their French. Here is my top 10 list.
Grab a friend and do something together, like…
- Check out the Alliance Française (French Cultural Alliance) in Minneapolis. http://afmsp.org/
They have a ton of activities: fun events like Bastille Day, July 14 festivities, films, and a TEEN CLUB called les Djeunes (hip hop dance lesson in French, movie night, cooking class in French, refresher course before school starts J)

- Watch a movie or series once a week in French.

- Consider hosting a French student or team up with a friend & share hosting. Here are two great local organizations that offer hosting opportunities. I have experience traveling to France with both organizations.

Don’t forget to review some French a couple of weeks before school starts. Dig up your notes and review online at Quizlet.
