Resource Room Fed. Setting I/II

Welcome to the Resource Room!

  • At Eastern Heights, the Resource Room provides service minutes to all Federal Setting I/II students in special education that have academic goals/objectives.  Our educational background is in Elementary Education, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Emotional/Behavioral Disorders.  We enjoy the diversity of students that we get to see & appreciate the uniqueness of each individual.  We have an open-door policy, so feel free to come and visit!

    The Approach..

The Resource Room incorporates co-teaching, push-in and pull-out models of instruction.  We service students with a variety of special needs. When pushing in, We enjoy supporting the goals/objectivesof the student while working along side the regular education teacher. When we pull a group into my classroom, we implement a parallel teaching approach. This aligns classroom standards/expectations with individual goals and objectives. While we continue to service students with their individual needs in mind, we try and take a modern look at the "least restrictive" environment for that student. We feel this is the best approach in reaching the educational needs of the students, while keeping the academic rigor and social needs of that student in mind.

If you would like to stop by and check us out, we would love to host you.  We also have many volunteer opportunities available!

    In Kind,

    Ms. Larson & Ms. Anna
