Hi I am Katina Edwards born in Saint Paul Minnesota!  I graduated from Saint Paul Central High School and attended University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I received my B.A. and Master of Art degree in dance and birth-6 Elementary Education/Curriculum and Instruction from University of Minnesota Twin Cities.   I received my K-12 reading license from Concordia University of Saint Paul.

I have been in the education field for over 25  years.  Currently I am the WINN teacher serving K-2nd grade students.  I am looking forward to accelerating students reading skills this year!   I first started off as a special education assistant and a substitute teacher for Minneapolis Public Schools.  Then I worked at different charter schools as a Kindergarten teacher for 5 years.  This is my fourteenth year with Saint Paul Public Schools.  My philosopyy for students is that all children can learn and be their best. 

I enjoy cheering on the MN VIKINGS (SKOL) snorkeling, traveling, dancing, water aerobics, zumba, motorcycle riding near the North Shore, being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with my significant other, daughter, family, and friends!  If you notice I love being adventurous and having fun in my life!
